WORKPLACE CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW
A workplace campaign is one of the most powerful ways our community comes together to create change. Through a United Way of Anderson County workplace campaign, employees have the opportunity to support local impact by making a charitable gift—often through convenient payroll deduction. Each employee chooses the amount they wish to give; some employers choose to make an employer match as part of their corporate giving or corporate social responsibility program, though this is not required.
Workplace giving makes it simple to invest in the causes that matter most. Employees can pledge a portion of each paycheck, often pre-tax, and many companies choose to match employee gifts—doubling or even tripling the impact. Whether you’re a small business, large corporation, public agency, or nonprofit, a workplace campaign is an easy way to demonstrate your commitment to strengthening our community.

During the multi-week fundraising campaigns, (which typically run between September and December of each year) United Way representatives present information to about the critical work United Way of Anderson County does in the community and the impact of the previous year's campaign. Each workplace campaign is different and can be tailored to that company's workplace culture and needs. We encourage specific campaign themes, goals, challenges, events, contests, and more!
Studies consistently show that in today’s job market, employees are increasingly seeking employers that demonstrate social responsibility and offer meaningful work. This is especially true for Millennial and Gen Z workers, who now represent the majority of the workforce. Running an employee giving campaign with a community-focused organization like United Way can provide employees with a sense of purpose—a key factor in job satisfaction, and one of the top three reasons people change jobs. A 2023 study revealed that 44% of younger workers (Gen Z and Millennials) would be willing to take a pay cut to work for a company that aligns with their values.

- Eliminates multiple fundraising requests\
- Avoids large, one-time financial commitments
- Automatically pauses if paychecks stop
It’s convenient, flexible, and impactful.
