On August 13th, the United Way of Anderson County will celebrate 80 years of impact in Anderson County. From 1946, our mission has been to unite people, impact lives, and improve Anderson County. From our early days as the Community Chest of Anderson to our leadership during Hurricane Helene, we hope that we have built a legacy of impact in our community. We encourage you to continue building your legacy with us.

80 DAYS OF IMPACT
To celebrate 80 years in Anderson County, join us as we launch 80 Days of Impact.
Beginning May 25th, we challenge our community to:
- Raise $80,000 in 80 days to support ALICE Families
- Complete 800 community service hours with the United Way
- United individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and volunteers around a shared mission of strengthening the community
Throughout the next 80 days, community members will have opportunities to participate through volunteer projects, donor campaigns, workplace engagement initiatives, storytelling campaigns, and public events designed to celebrate the people and partnerships that have shaped Anderson County over the past eight decades. This work will culminate in our 80th Anniversary Gala: "Building a Legacy of Impact" on August 13th.

OUR WHY: HELPING ALICE FAMILIES BUILD A LEGACY
We're raising money to help families who fall into the ALICE threshold. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are individuals who earn more than the Federal Poverty level, but not enough to make ends met. 40% of households in Anderson County fall into that category. ALICE individuals may work as a child's daycare teacher, a restaurant server, or even a healthcare worker. We want to help ensure these families transition from barely surviving to thriving and building a legacy of their own. You can find out more information on the ALICE threshold by clicking here.
