Legacy Partners
These 5 agencies were the first agencies funded by United Way 75 years ago! We are proud to continue our partnerships and fund impact in Anderson County.
Anderson Area YMCA
The YMCA works every day to improve our community’s health and well-being. They provide a fun, supportive environment to help you live in good health. The YMCA nurtures the potential of every youth and teen through programs such as youth sports, after school, camp, swim lessons, swim team, and wellness programming. They also provide opportunities to give back, support our neighbors, and make our community a better place through volunteering and mission projects.
American Red Cross Upstate SC
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies from providing relief and support to those in crisis, to helping you be prepared to respond in emergencies.
Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts has helped create generations of leaders and outstanding citizens by allowing boys and girls to explore their interests, serve their communities, and discover their talents through youth-led activities like hiking, camping, and volunteering.
Girl Scouts
Through programs from coast to coast, Girl Scouts of all backgrounds and abilities can be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges—whether they want to climb to the top of a tree or the top of their class, lace up their boots for a hike or advocate for climate justice, or make their first best friends.
The Salvation Army
For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and – whenever possible – families to stay.
