Youth Volunteer Corps

United Way of Anderson County
in conjunction with HandsOn Anderson has a special program for teens ages 11-18
called the Youth Volunteer Corps of Anderson County. Currently we have over 100
teens who are members of the Youth Volunteer Corps.
The youth work on service projects for nonprofit
agencies on Saturday’s during the school year and participate in summer camps
during the months of June, July and August.
Some of the projects completed this year include building a Wheelchair
Ramp, hosting Birthday parties for children who are part of the Women and
Children Succeeding Program and enjoyed a day dedicated to learning more about
leadership and diversity.
They are
currently involved with Lights of Hope.
Youth Volunteer Corps of Anderson County is one of 30 affiliates
throughout the United States.
