Volunteer Center
An investment in your community can be made financially or physically. You don't have to write a check to contribute. United Way of Anderson County utilizes many volunteers - on our Board of Directors, Success By 6 Advisory Board, Campaign Cabinet, Community Impact Vision Councils, the African American Leadership Council and more. We encourage agencies to use volunteers actively and efficiently.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BE A PART OF OUR SPIRIT OF VOLUNTEERISM!
United Way of Anderson County Volunteer Center is a clearinghouse for volunteers and local nonprofit agencies. We promote volunteerism through education, organization and coordination of volunteers. United Way of Anderson County Volunteer Center is an affiliate of the Hands on Network.
Every year in April, United Way of Anderson County sponsors the Community Volunteer Recognition Celebration in conjunction with National Volunteer Week. Local organizations nominate their volunteers of the year and we celebrate their efforts at this annual event. The same week, the Anderson Independent-Mail publishes the Helping Handbook which provides information on local non-profit agencies and their volunteer needs.
Volunteers are vital to the staff of United Way of Anderson County and each month, a volunteer is recognized for their service.
