Message from the Chair  

I count it an honor to have the opportunity to serve my community as Chair of the Board for United Way of Anderson County. I have served on the Board for 7 years, and I feel United Way is on the cutting edge of creating positivie change in Anderson County...and I say Anderson County because over the past few years and in the coming year, we will continue the efforts to do more in our outlying communities, such as our Imagine A Neighborhood mini-grants, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), and our work with the school districts. During the next few months, you will hear the United Way organization's name related to an early grade reading plan, an Eat Smart/Move More collaborative, a weekend backpack program to feed hungry children during the school year and our afiliation with the "HandsOn Network".   Stay tuned for a great year in the life of United Way of Anderson County!!
