Welcome to United Way of Anderson County ’s Center for Non Profit Excellence
In 2008, United Way of Anderson County received funding from the Abney Foundation to conduct Preserving the Public Trust, a 9-part enrichment series for non profit executives, to assist non profits in reaching standards of excellence in their performance.
The positive response led to the decision to establish a local Center for Non Profit Excellence, serving Anderson County non profits. United Way formally staffed the initiative in October 2008. New strategies, with an emphasis on training conducted by experienced professionals, are currently being developed to strengthen Anderson County ’s non profit sector.
All activities are designed to support non profits in their goals to achieve greater success in management and fundraising, and to help local charities be collectively positioned to respond to new challenges and opportunities.
